It’s time to plan ahead for your March pet business promotions – and here’s a list of pet holidays to give you inspiration.
Pet Poison Prevention Week – Third full week of March starting with a Sunday
The third full week of March is the Pet Poison Prevention Week and it’s a great opportunity to establish yourself as an authority in keeping pets safe. Share tips about safe gardening, indoor cleaning materials, food and plants that are unsafe for pets. It’s also a great time to promote the healthy, safe, natural or organic alternatives to grooming, flea control and dog treats you’re selling in your store.
Professional Pet Sitters Week – Second Week of March
Use this week to highlight all the ways you and your team of pet sitters can help keep your clients’ pets safe and looked after while they’re away on vacation. Here’s a great list of reasons to hire a professional pet sitter, and how to choose the right sitter for your pet to give you some inspiration for social media posts, blog posts, newsletters and more.
March 3 – If Pets had thumbs day
Use this fun pet holiday to ask some fun questions on social media and see what your client’s pets would do if they had thumbs for a day!
March 23 National Puppy Day
Use this pet holiday to celebrate all things puppies in your pet business! Perhaps invite puppies for free baths, consultations, training sessions – or why not give all puppy owners a great discount on puppy supplies?
March 28 – Respect Your Cat Day
Cats rule the internet, so go ahead and find some fun memes to share on social media.
Time to take action! Choose one or two pet holidays that you think your clients are most likely to enjoy, and schedule your social media posts, blog posts and in store promotions ahead of time today.
